Catering / Refreshments
Clearly designated catering areas are located within the exhibition hall for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All conference delegates and exhibitor staff are entitled to the catering provided in these areas. Delegates and Exhibitor Staff must make sure they are wearing their name badge and lanyard with them to access catering. MCEC’s retail Café Goldfields Café and Bar (located inside the Exhibition Centre, near Door 14) will be open for Trade Visitors to purchase refreshments.
Catering / Dietary Requirements
Common dietary requirements have been covered by menu selections. Any delegate or exhibitor who notified a specific allergy upon registration should identify themselves to a venue staff member at any of the allergen station near the Education Hub.
Cloakroom
Complimentary cloakroom facilities are available at the Customer Service Desk on the ground level of the Convention Centre (near Goldfields Café).
Conference Proceedings
All delegates will have access to the full papers via the Ozwater’24 Online Platform. Delegates must make sure they have their official Ozwater name badge with them at all times and tap into each session to receive instructions.

Gala Dinner: After 5 or evening attire
Exhibition
Throughout the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to visit the Ozwater’24 trade exhibition. All delegate catering will be provided in this area. The exhibition is accessible from Door 8 on the Exhibition Concourse. Exhibition opening hours are:

Wednesday, 1 May: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday, 2 May: 8:30am - 2:00pm
First Aid
If you require first aid assistance, please make yourself known to venue security or a venue staff member who will contact a First Aid officer.

Enjoy complimentary visitors Wi-Fi at MCEC for basic browsing, email and social media.

Name Badges and Tickets
It is essential that delegates, exhibitors and trade visitors always wear their Ozwater name badges and lanyards. For security purposes, all delegates and participants will be required to wear the official Ozwater name badge attached to the official lanyard for admission to conference sessions, trade exhibition, social functions and delegate catering.
Parents’ Rooms
Parents’ rooms are located adjacent to the customer service desks in both the Convention and Exhibition Centres. These rooms include a microwave, baby change tables, and breastfeeding and toilet facilities.
Prayer Room
Separate male and female prayer rooms including washing facilities are located in the Convention Centre, close to the customer service desk.
Registration and Event Information
The Ozwater’24 registration and information desk is located outside Door 8 on the Exhibition Concourse. Operating hours are as follows:

Speakers Preparation Room
All Ozwater’24 presenters are required to check in at the Speakers Preparation Room, located in Room 215 on Level 2 of the Convention Centre. It is mandatory that each presenter reports there prior to their presentation for technical briefing. Operating hours are as follows:
Monday 29 April: 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Tuesday, 30 April: 7.30am - 5.00pm
Wednesday, 1 May: 7.30am - 5.00pm
Thursday, 2 May: 8.00am - 1.30pm
Transport and Parking
Tram: Tram routes 96, 109 and 12 (Stop 124A Casino/MCEC) will all take you to MCEC’s Clarendon Street entrance. Otherwise, tram routes 48 and 70 (Stop D5) take you to Flinders Street. From there, it’s just a short walk-up Clarendon Street until you reach the venue.
Train: The closest station is Southern Cross. Once you exit the station, you can catch the 96, 109 or 12 tram routes and arrive at MCEC in just a few stops.
Transport and Parking
Bus: The Skybus has a service that transports visitors from the Melbourne Airport called the Southbank Docklands Express that stops at the Clarendon Street entrance of MCEC. From Monday to Friday, bus route 237 goes via Southern Cross Station to Lorimer Street, which is roughly a five-minute walk to MCEC.
Taxi/Uber: Ask your taxi or Uber driver to drop you off at MCEC’s Clarendon Street entrance.
Driving: Wilson Parking operates a secure underground car park at the Exhibition Centre that offers a range of flexible rates. Book online before you visit to ensure you’re guaranteed a great spot.
